About Thijs Hezemans
The entrepreneurial spirit began flowing early at my father’s company. There, at the age of twelve, I started repairing and refurbishing my own cars to trade them, all while studying to become an car technician at school.
1996
I attended IVA Business School, a commercial higher professional education program focused on the automotive industry, where my foundation in entrepreneurship and trading was further strengthened.
2004
I started as an account manager at Pon Equipment, the Dutch Caterpillar dealer. It was here that I discovered my passion for heavy machinery; my heart for machinery truly began to beat and my blood turned yellow.
2009
I had the opportunity to build a complete machinery trading business from scratch for a truck trading company in The Netherlands. This grew into an organization selling around 1.700 new and used machines annually. After 7,5 years, my entrepreneurial drive resurfaced. It was time for the next step.
2017
May 2026, Hezemans Trading & Services was founded, the result of years of experience, a passion for international trade, and a deep‑rooted drive to support customers worldwide in buying and selling construction equipment.
